By granting the Biobank the right to collect and use your biological samples and health information, you will contribute to the advancement of biomedical science and the development of new methods of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

When scientists conduct biomedical research using new technologies, information important to Your health may emerge, which the Biobank, with Your consent, will pass on to You or Your family doctor, potentially helping to provide You with more effective healthcare services to avoid or alleviate an identified health condition.

Any adult resident of Lithuania, regardless of their health status, can participate in the Biobank's activities. Persons under the age of 18 can only participate in the Biobank's activities with the consent of both parents or guardians.
