Participant rights
All rights of a person participating in the Biobank activities are established in The Biobank internal rules.
Right to withdraw consent
You can withdraw your consent to participate in the Biobank activities at any time without giving a reason. All participant rights related to Your data processing are defined in the Biobank personal data processing rules. If due to health conditions You are unable to decide on further participation in the Biobank activities, Your consent may be withdrawn by Your authorized or legally appointed representative (usually a spouse or, if none, one of your parents or adult children). To withdraw consent, You will need to fill out a withdrawal form and send the signed form to the Biobank (scanned via email biobank@mf.vu.lt or paper copy to The Biobank of Lithuanian Population and Rare Disorders, Žaliųjų Ežerų st. 2, Vilnius). Upon receipt of the signed withdrawal request: - Your health information in the Biobank will be destroyed immediately, but no later than within 5 business days. - Biological samples will be destroyed no later than within 6 months. - The Biobank will inform you about the destruction of samples and information within 3 business days from destruction.
